For a large portion of the 40,000 enthusiasts who attend Vintage Motorcycle Days each year, the swap meet is the primary attraction. Covering nearly 80 acres and hosting over 800 individual vendors, the VMD swap meet is one of the largest motorcycle swap meets in the nation, and surely the most diverse.

From early American project bikes to iconic ’80s and ’90s sportbikes, from’70s and ’80s motocrossers to all the classic minibikes many of us grew up with back in the day, you’re bound to find the parts, memorabilia, or complete motorcycles you’re looking for at this event.

And the bikes are just the beginning! The stories of people stumbling onto something they just have to have — and then trying to find a way to get it hauled home to one of the coasts, or Montana, or New Mexico — are the stuff of legend.

Look hard enough and you’re likely to find someone with room in their trailer from where you’re going. Come with cash, too, although more and more folks are carrying card machines these days.
