Grant Ellis may not have found love with Jenn Tran in Season 21 of "The Bachelorette," but he's getting another chance as the titular "Bachelor" in Season 29 of "The Bachelor," premiering next week on ABC.

Grant will be the second Black man to lead "The Bachelor" since the show first premiered in 2002.

In June 2020, Matt James was cast as the first Black bachelor.

“A self-proclaimed mama’s boy, Ellis’ infectious smile and unwavering positivity instantly brightens every room he enters,” his bio reads.

ABC says the upcoming season will come "with a bold, new twist on the traditional first impression rose," and that the chance to make a "strong connection has never been more crucial."
