Millions of Americans start their day by watching the fifth longest-running show in the country, Today also known as The Today Show. The show airs Monday through Friday.

from 7:00 AM ET to 10:00 AM ET on NBC.

The first episode of Today aired on January 14, 1952, and it pioneered the genre as it was the first of its type in the country and the world. Created by Sylvester Weaver, the show’s popularity has expanded to the weekend with Weekend Today (Saturday Today and Sunday Today).

Plus, there’s a 24-hour extension, Today All Day, which streams on Peacock and NBC’s website.
